Give your battery a damned good charge Peter. Leaving the keys in the ignition will drain the battery in quite a big way over that time period, and a short drive will not have charged it sufficiently.
Folks,
had a funny thing happen yesterday that affected the cruise control operation.
I was out at an evnt and left the keys in the ignition all day, vehicle was not locked. 0830 through to 1430.
When it was time to head off I tried to start and only got the solenoid rattle.
Got a jump start and all seemed ok except it had reset the damsh stats for km, fuel usage etc etc. Not a biggie.
Off I go and once in the 100km zone hit cruise control and nothing happend, no light, nothing hmmmm
Was thinking it may need the magis lock / unlock 3 times trick to reset the system. Got home and thought I would check fuses first, coulod not even find a fuse for it. Ok lock /unlock 3 times, go for a drive a voila its back working again.
Have never seen that happen before. What about anyone else? It's a bit odd!
cheers
Peter

yes I now know leaving the keys in keeps all the ECU chugging away!
I will put it on a slow charge during the week.
