2011 D4 - reset "service required" message

Perhaps my search skills aren't up to the test but I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere?

I serviced the whole car on the weekend and now want this message gone, does anyone know how?

Use an IID Tool or similar to clear it, or take it to British and Swedish at Narrabeen and ask them to clear it.

As far as I know you need to connect to the OBD port to clear the message there are no other ways.

You could try this but I'm not guaranteeing it..

To turn off the Oil Service Light on Land Rover LR4, conform to the following instructions:

Turn the ignition on
Open the bonnet
Open the drivers door
With push-button start, press and hold the ? Start? for two seconds without touching the brake pedal.
Next, simultaneously press the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal and hold for a minimum of 10 seconds, until a ?SERVICE RESETTING.? message shows on the instrument cluster display.
Turn the ignition off and back on
If the message is not cleared, repeat the process

From another site - untested but won't hurt to try

Anyone with an IID Tool BT should be able to reset it for you, as it does not fall under VIN locked functions

Just so I can be sure I'm understanding correctly as it hasn't worked so far..

What do you mean by turn the ignition on? Is that not the same as pushing the start button without the brake pedal?

I tried from inside the car

Lean over, pop the bonnet

Then press start button (no brake pedal)
Then depress brake and accelerator for 10 seconds (or more)

But no luck, did I misunderstand something?

You didn't follow the sequence suggested - didn't turn the ignition on first.

It doesn't work on my L322 though as pressing the button for any length of time turns the ign back off.

That's why I asked what turn on the ignition means, I confused how that is different to pressing the start button without the brake?

In case it helps anyone I think Lukeis is asking whether "Turn ignition on" means:

i) Depress brake pedal, press the start button, have the engine running
or
ii) Leave pedals alone, press the start button, engine is not running (but all the other stuff is)
