Cost of getting a Series 2a resprayed in sydney

hey guys doing a frame off restoration of a series 2a, ive got all the body panels off and cleaned up ready to be sanded and sprayed, originally i was intending to spray it myself but i'm very limited in area in which i can do it, i have a large backyard but not really any undercover areas which i could use. So i was wondering if i had all the panels pulled off and possibly even sanded myself, roughly how much a complete respray on a LWB ute cab would cost. Cheers guys

It really depends if you want a showroom finish or a respirator without too much panel prep. Paint cost is about the same both ways ( paint would be about $350 cost) but the time (and thus money) is in the panel prep.
Colour and flat or gloss also influences cost. Flat is cheaper.

Without seeing it and as a guess I would say 20 hours prep and 8 hours to spray.
Not sure how much painters charge but it must be $75/hr for a professional. That's $2100 plus paint and consumables.
No change out of $2500 I'd say.
You could probably get it done for half that by using "mates rates".

Note that I am not a spray painter. These are my opinions only based on doing 3 of my own.
