D4 rear ended will not start.

Out with some Land Rovers. A D4 was rear ended and will not start. What can we do? No nanocom or Hawkeye or any of that.
Another car D4 will start but is sitting on its springs. Air springs fully down. Again any ideas?

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

Do D4s have an inertia switch like the TD5s did? Have a look in the manual?

Try a hard reset for the 2nd D4?

    Hope you get them going...

The d3 has it as part of the srs system, signals engine ECU etc when airbag or pretensioner is activated. No user resetable switch like the d2

Knowing what happened to the D4 on its bump-stops just before it went down might be helpful with a solution.

The d4 on the bumps stops was doing nothing. Waiting for recovery for the D4 and deefer 90. Unimog on the way about 90 mins ago.

If extreme off-road conditions then perhaps the D4 on the bump-stops' problem is damage to the compressor or wiring or main air-line which has triggered the bump-stop condition.

Bohica. Any update on what might have caused the rear ended vehicle to refuse to start?
