Biggest LPG tank in the back of a Disco or RR?

Just seeing who's done LPG conversions and what's the biggest capacity you've got in?

I have a APA G84-Man (the manifold type) tank on the floor of my RRc and it's only 59lt LPG capacity. I feel like I'm always in service stations, particularly on long trips. My usual action is to flick back to petrol for a few hundred Km and that defeats the benefits of having LPG.

There is also a lot of lost luggage space.

I would like at least 100 Lt LPG volume, so have been thinking of having some sill tanks made for the classic The new tanks would give about 19 or 20 Lt LPG each side and give about 97 - 99 Lt LPG for the car.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I'm going LPG only, so the tank will be installed in the back, between the chassis rails. Not in the cabin.
But the greatest dimension is width at 620mm allowing for some space.
Am happy to cut the floor pan to make room, ideally want 120 litres on board without having to multi tank. Sill tanks an option, but I don't want to end up using them as sliders........

Maybe a rear tank and a scuba set in the back? Dunno. Might have to get a custom tank made. The depth from floor pan to bottom of chassis (plus a bit) is only 340mm. Not enough without uncle chop chop.

Did start investigating the possibility of two specials in the rear of a 110. The idea was to have a large diameter one parallel to the rear axle assembly and a second smaller diameter, poss 310mm, one behind that with a skid plate below the two. From memory it came up to about 104 Lt LPG, would be different for the Disco or RRc.

Apparently the rush on LPG installations is over so there is a greater likelihood of getting specials done.

Pretty sure the biggest capacity doing a RRC / replace fuel tank / between chassis rails is achieved by using two tanks running NS. Seem to recall walker from here selling this set up a couple of years ago. Could be wrong.

You'll get a 100 litre tank (total) EW behind the back seat or an 80l tank running NS in a RRC opposite the stock spare wheel. Not really the info you're after.

    cheers, DL
