Suggest contacting Pirelli direct - when I wanted to fit them to my D4 back in December I got all sorts of stories from LR dealer and from local tire shops. Rang state distributor and they rang Sydney - there were 29 of the 19 inchers in the shed there. Good option I reckon, while we're stuck with the 19" rims. Not noisy, and seem to work pretty well from what I've seen so far (9000 km). Ring around on price too - I found about $80 a wheel difference across a few places.

Similar deal to what I managed - about $1k change-over. But it seems we were fortunate scoring ours when we did. I bet they had a rush on the 19" ATRs as the D4s began to arrive!

And yes, logging up the miles rapidly - lots of long work trips, and more coming in the next month or so. This vehicle has transformed that exercise from a chore into a pleasure.

    Pirelli ATRs - D4

I spoke with a Gold Coast dealer this morning.
He said that they had ATR's in stock in Sydney, overnight delivery.
255/55/19 $489.00 each, fitted and balanced.
$200.00 trade in on the new original's.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi all,
Have done about 1000Klm's now on the 19" ATR's with a variety of driving.
First of all, paid just under $400.00 each fitted & balanced in Vic.

Comfort - Noticable as soon as I left the tyre dealer. Ride was smoother and quieter.
Dry weather - Grip really well.
    Wet Weather - As above.
Freeway driving - Noticed that they tend to stay in a straight line better. More directional in bends & turns.
Off Road - Did some light 4WDing. Grip really well......no soft mud though.
Towing - Towed my 2 ton boat today. Noticed that there is almost no sidewall movement in the tyre. Allot better than the originals.
Verdict - So far so good.

    Cheers, Craig

Well had ATRs on order since April and finally fitted last thursday. I hope supply improves or better not destroy a tyre outback somewhere.

Interesting. I tried to get our D3 fitted with ATRs about a month ago. The Brisbane dealer came back to me and said there were none available in Australia till at least November. Since we needed them *now*, we went with Scorpions.

I'm a bit ****ed off to hear that they are actually about.
