Well, I can share some good news.
Today I went off to the Department of Transport for my written test. I passed 100% Very happy
I've been 16yrs of age for a few months now, but my full-time studies (Electrical-mechanic) at TAFE had kept me busy (as the Transport Office is closed on the weekends).
However I had a few hours to spare this morning, as it was my last day of theory at TAFE.
Next week, I start my Vocational Placement at the new Hospital that is being built near Griffith University, probably the largest construction site on the Goldy.

X2, Driving a older vehicle where the noise of the motor, gearbox and road noise can be heard, is the best way to lean how to interact correctly with the mechanical requirements of the driven vehicle.
Be on your guard for the other car's driver doing something wrong, avoid problems even if you are in the right and always be mindful of the blind spots when looking in your rear vision mirrors.

						Congratulations on the result,
I've had my P's for just over 11 months now, i can tell you the old cars are the best to learn to drive on, i learnt from the age of 15 on the farm driving a 1942 3 speed crash box army jeep (drove synchro before the jeep was running), taught me to double shuffle as it had no brakes haha, fun when you come up to a gate that's unexpectedly shut LOL.
When i got my L's i started driving the veteran cars on rallies (<1918), i soon learnt that if i can drive them i can drive anything LOL, (hopping into the 18 speed Mack truck on the farm haha, walk in the park).
You'll definitely show up your mates driving.
Cheers
Will
I leaned to drive in my Dads series 2 on my grandparents farm about 22 years ago, the double clutching takes a bit to master but when you do, there is no better feeling on the road.
