congrats... when it comes time for the driving test proper do it in something with a crash box...
Well done Harry.
Rules you don't find in the Learners Manual.
- Concentrate - you are in charge of a 1 tonne + of steel and plastic.
- I know it is hard but......Let the phone ring!. She will call back (It doesn't hurt to keep them waiting for a change.
) Pull over if it is urgent.
- There are idiots everywhere
- sometimes in the back seat of your car. Not much you can do about it, but learn to live with it.
- 10 - 20 kmh faster than the speed limit makes bugger all difference to your total time. Speeding will eventually cost you money .....or much worse.
- Be patient in traffic. We all share the road.
- Take charge of the Radio/iPod/I.C.E. - set the volume and music so that it doesn't distract you.
- Take responsibility for your passengers. If they don't wear their seat belts or want to hang out the window - don't be afraid to "lay down the law" - You are in charge. You may be accountable for their actions.
- If you miss your turnoff, don't panic, take the next one and double back. Reversing down busy roads, or chopping across 3 lanes can be bloody dangerous.
- Enjoy yourself!
congrats... when it comes time for the driving test proper do it in something with a crash box...
