Thanks from Scott and Lachy for an awesome weekend. What a great bunch of people, had heaps of laughs and really enjoyed being out and about with like-minded Landy-addicts.
We're looking forward to doing it again!
And another fabulous SLOW Inc. trip completed.....and as always, a great bunch of folks and a good time had. This trip had a difference - there were 93 people in attendance. SLOW Inc and the HTA are in agreeance - we shall work together further because it clearly worked....and on behalf of the club, I'd like to publically thank Brown and Hurley, and the hospitality they displayed to all this weekend...
After a quick trip rundown, Trev had us all jumping in our old trucks to hit the road.....
And what a convoy! All filmed as we went over the top of the range and into NSW. Our trucks stretched out for miles! What a sight, and what a sound. The HTA and SLOW anthem - automotive music ringing through the ranges.
Not just trucks either - Jim brought his '53 FX. This isn't restored, it's his first ever car, continuously registed and still on the road. What a fantastic gentleman!
onya Jim.
We headed over the range and into Kyogle showgrounds, and the HTA put on a top feed for lunch. Thanks fellas, SLOW will have to buy a BBQ and try to return the compliment! So much to check out over a few beers....
A Speial Interest regoed Kenny...
Some really cool stuff at Brown & Hurley's yards too....
And of course, a bit of British....
Was pretty hot though.....BYO shade.....
And of course, the SLOW crew and their Land Rovers.....thanks again to all the great folks that came along, and thanks too to our guests Scott and Lachy who made the weekend even more fun.

A Great weekend, and as usual my series III has died again. Seems every time I take "zara" out on a club trip she has a problemShe works every day when I drive her, super reliable, but not on trips
The bang at the lights @ Jimboomba sounds like a half shaft
limped home with the yellow button
tomorrow will tell
Oh and she ran well home besides that, even idled well when we stopped, go figure

Well, that makes 3 of us! At least we all got home eventually, safe and sound. I think distance - and heat, make your commute quite different from a trip.
Hope Zara is an easy fix.![]()

Thanks to all who organised this trip it was really enjoyableIt made the late nights putting the dormobile back together worthwhile.
I enjoyed talking to Jim about his exploits in his old holden, it reminded me of this wonderful fellow [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Delaney"]Tom Delaney - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] who was another great character.
It was also good talking to Mr Toy about his collection of Austin vehicles, Marcus offered him $200 for his old blue Austin which made him chuckle, I thought it was quite reasonable as he only paid $75 for it back in '63
There were some great vehicles taking part and it was nice to be in amongst them on the road, some of the scenery en route was really good to see.
I have brought shame to the establishment, poor old Tinman finished the last leg of his journey on the back of a tilt tray. After coughing and spluttering up and down the hills on the Lions Road, he gave up the ghost near Rathdowney, with a suspected centre ripped out of the clutch plate. I am able to select any gear with the engine running, without depressing the clutch and no drive.
Apart from that misadventure, Haddo and I had a top weekend. Many thanks must go to the Heritage Truck Association for their organising and hospitality for the weekend,as well as Jim Hurley and the Brown Hurley Group for opening their premises up to us, and for supplying Breakfast on Sunday, also to Doug Campbell for allowing us to view his private collections, truly inspiring.
Cheers, Mick.
