Brown & Hurley....would they be just about the oldest kenworth Dealer in Aus?
    Cheers, Pickles.
Yes for a quite a time Brown & Hurley were the only Kenworth dealers in Australia, but Kenworth also sold direct from the company. Brown & Hurley sold their first Kenworth in 1965 which was an American built truck.
According to the Kenworth website, custom built trucks were imported to Australia from 1965 until the first locally built truck rolled off the Bayswater production line in 1971.
I thought that some were built at Footscray prior to the Bayswater plant operating, but it seems I am incorrect.

    cheers, Mick.

It was that hot, Jerry had to hose his fridge down, to keep it cool.

Not surprising for a White truck to be so named? They built cars, trucks and tractors from 1910 through 1980 and were one of the oldest auto companies in the USA.
