G,day all.As being new to the landrover scene i am allways finding things to fix on my 96 Disco 1 auto, this forum has helped me heaps.First time i drove my car at night and i noticed when the head lights are on the power window switches go hot,is it possible there is a bad earth somewhere? When lights are off there is no problem.Has anyone had this problem before.

Light bulbs my friend. Try some led bulbs from someone like Jaycar, very little heat.

Hey Dave, The same question was asked 1 month ago in the D1 forum: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/discovery-...-switches.html

As mentioned, it appears virtually all get hot and it has been attributed to the globes.
Mine don't get too hot to touch or anything, just warm.

I haven't ever heard of one catching fire, but you never know.

Mine have always done it and the same happens with my ARB air locker switches when they are on at night too, hasnt caused me any hassle, i don't think it would either.
