    this thread is confusing without pictures...

    Im assuming your talking about the ball join on the drag link or a tie rod end.


    once you have the rod off of the arm if you cant get the tie rod end or the ball joint to unscrew from the end you can try the apply heat thing Or go my stand by and put it into a tin that youve filled with dieso or brake fluid and have a go in the morning

    That's what it sounds like Dave and your solutions are what I would try. The link is hollow and somewhat fragile, so care should be used with a pipe wrench or even vice grips. Should be RH thread.

    On Pirate they use cut RR drag links and track rods as crush tubes in chassis mods.

    dont laugh too hard at that.

    its the approved method for doing chassis work on the perentie.. (just happens that the tube is the right size for some bits)
