    drippy defender diesel problem

I have the dreaded 2.5 defender diesel reg drip...read a couple of forums but cant seem to find anyone that can supply me with some specs on the "o"ring sizes , and as this is my only means of transport I dont want to strip the pressure reg down to measure the "o"ring sizes then put it back together again ,then off to the o ring people , then strip, hone, reassemble, you can imagine the kind of language I'd be talking then. Anyone done a recon could you please give some advice..

Hi, I would recommend a new pressure regulator. These are normally good for 200,000kms. The problem isn't always the O rings but the diaphram inside the regulator which lets go. Changing the O rings seems to be a temporary fix in most cases.

seconded... replace the regulator, then keep the old one pull it down, measure everythng up then goto a hydraulics place and get the orings to suit. reasemble and keep it in the box for next time.
