I spoke to the garage who fitted the 2nd hand part this morning and they have confirmed that the error code was for the ABS Pump, not the Shuttle Valves. My understanding is that the Shuttle Valves can be replaced by the Pump cannot? The company who supplied the faulty 2nd hand Modulator are sending another one which will be fitted free of charge so I'll give that a go before doing anything else.
My question now is, if it is a Pump Fault can this be repaired/replaced?
FYI, to make things more interesting, Land Rover (who serviced the car recently) have told me that the shuttle valves need replacing but have told the garage (who fitted the 2nd hand modulator) that the Modulator needs replacing...I will be phoning Land Rover again to find out exactly what is going on and why they are telling me one thing and the garage another!! ....I love my car but I'm not sure I'd buy another one

Correct diagnosis will determine what if anything needs to be replaced now and in the future.
Re: shuttle valves fault. This usually is not the actual shuttle valves themselves, but rather is caused by the switch on the bottom of the modulator or a manufacturing defect with the internal circuit associated with this switch. The switch is a very fast and easy fix, by LR or your local mechanic.
The internal circuit fault kindly supplied by the manufacturer, is a also a very easy and cheap fix, as kindly offered by "tapout" this will be permanent.
But LR and most mechanics will not perform this mod for you, mainly because LR policy (to ensure indemnity)will need to replace the part, which comes as a complete modulator.

You may be one of the rare unfortunate ones who has no other choice for replacement.
Do you have the first, old dead modulator, which came off?
If so, would you be prepared to send it to me at my expense?

    cheers

and if you are off-road and it fails you will not have the traction control as I found out the hard way about a month after I bought the disco. Lucky I was with someone who explained how to use the brake pedal to simulate traction control. Hope it is sorted out for you now.

BTW I also go to MR Auto at Redcliffe and they do seem to have the customer's interest at heart. They are LR specialists.
