    ACE accelerometer sensor

On the weekend i put a pair of rock sliders on my car, the right hand side mount was in the way of the accelerometer sensor so i cut and moved the mount down a couple of inches, job done but now the ace light comes on (amber) and wont go out, fluid is good, no leaks, if i push the plug in real hard and restart the car the light sometimes goes out but then comes back on later. What can i do to fix the prob, car is a 2000 D2 manual v8 ace, no other warning lights.

    Thanks,
    Jason.

I'd suspect the accelerometer plug is not seating properly due to dirt or rubbish or the seal has been dislodged. You might have to remove the accelerometer to see inside the plug properly.

in the back left hand corner of the printed circut board theres a resistor... south east of that is a micro chip, ide say its in there somewhere

or you could try looking in the disco ACE section or the valeo BCU section.
i know ive seen the calibration section but cant remember where.
