It's the bolt hole for the heat shield mount, however im looking at putting my EGT sensor there as I'm not real keen on drilling into the manifold and its quite a handy spot. However it is quite a stretch to get into the exhaust stream so still undecided.

    Cheers

Finally, the mine has been perfect.
With a 76mm tube directly from the air box to Snorkel (Mantek).
    Problem solved.

Need a fuel curve, working at 850 rpm idle.
I have a Disc2 one (D2BAS Stage2.map), that works perfectly at idle 850, but it gives some problems in the defender. Has canceled the gearbox and clutch contacts and the car is somewhat abrupt. Also the temperature gauge works in reverse.

Im still non the wiser lol

What is the fuel curve you are asking for ?
What do you mean working at 850rpm idle ?

You have a D2 map ST2 that is working at 850rpm ? idle speed is 760rpm standard !
Are you trying to put the D2 map on the defender ?

Give the full explnation of what you are trying to do so i can advise.

Trials at low speed in the Td5, stalls some ease. This phenomenon disappears by increasing the idling. I mounted a hand throttle, but is not working well, because going down, engine speeds.
The solution discussed is that map, that keeps perfectly idle to 850 rpm, just where the VNT starts to blow. The defecation is a bomb from idle. But that map is D2 one and gives some problems in defender.
So look for a map with idle at 850.
If you want to try the map, I can sent it. Give me an email.
