No, I've tended to steer away from Britpart where quality is critical. They are known as the el-cheapo brand. The ole "you pay for what you get" might be true in this case.
Is it just me, or does the quality of landie parts - especially Britpart - seem to be slipping???
I bought a new accelerator cable for the 110 a while back. The first one lasted ~370000 km. The Britpart replacement lasted ~4000 until the cable pulled out of the (poorly) swaged fitting at the IP end. I have fitted a new one (also Britpart), which is too long!!! And I only get ~2000 rpm at present!
So have others been experiencing the same with Britpart and/or other part manufacturers???

I agree. I am supplied by Rover Parts Plus in Ballarat and he always steers me away from Britpart stuff.

I hope the oil filters are OK? I've just put one on.

Afternoon All,
Just to clarify on a couple of points, Britpart offer both an Aftermarket spec part and OEM (Bosch/Dayco/Lucas etc) Parts…Both have their purpose I would only mainly sell the Britpart OEM parts but we do have people chasing the cheaper alternative…All I can say make sure when purchasing parts ask the supplier for the Parts spec, Britpart is one of the Largest independent Land Rover Wholesalers in the World! They Strive to Supply Quality Parts For Land Rovers!

My experience shows lucas is better, with regards to switchgear.
My headlight/indicator original switch wore out after some unknown amount of km (speedo says 300,000 but came through a dealer shutdown for rewinding cars).
Britpart one was made from completely the wrong plastic which is very brittle. Hit the indicators too ethusiasticly or tighten the mounting screws up more than finger tight and it cracks apart.
After 3 years of screwing around I replaced it with a genuine lucas, which has the same rubbery plastic base as the original. Problem solved.
I'm presuming you're referring to Jaguar | Land Rover spare parts at British Parts UK ?
I've bought a heap of electrical and EAS stuff from them now over the past 2 years to get my P38 running as it should... and now it does! Have not had any issues ...so far. 40% the cost of the local parts place and 1 week from the UK...to the door
cheers
Nope, but nice plug.
