nice effort, how did you break it, lotsa skinny pedal![]()
I was feeling a little guilty seeing the number of pics Tony has posted, so get a gander at these.
I think we have a failure to proceed.
I'm replacing the swivel pin seal and bearings while I'm at it, since I'm guessing they're full of metal now.
Hoping that the swivel ball isn't scarred.
The bolt is one of the stub axle bolts, it mucked up the female thread a bit coming out, any suggestions of what I should do to replace it?
Anyone had problems with GKN CVs before I buy another one?

Might've been the tonne of gravel in the tray and getting over that terrible lump getting into the garden.
I was driving back to get another tonne and lost all go until I locked the diff and drove around the block home.
I'd had the odd CV joint clunk for a while, although they were more clunky than other CV joint clunks I'd heard before
Nice~
Lucky it was just the cage so hopefully the damage was limited.
Cheers

to fix the female thread its just a case of drill and tap, if the tap is a little loose you can try reassembling with some loctite form-a-thread (read the manual for that stuff, get the proper preperation loctites as well and use them) or drill it out and helicoil it.

We don't stock blue locktite in Katoomba.
And somebody borrowed my bottle, think he might have used it to fix his tricycle.
All of it.
