There are quite a few people who do drag race large 4WD wagons, not my personal choice but each to their own.

Clive Cussler, an American author and car nut, put a Nascar 800BHP V8 into a 79 Jeep wagoneer, he was a bit tired of the wan*kers in his neighbourhood with their 911s apparently lol.

The Arabs get 1500BHP+ out of the GU Patrol, i think they twin turbo the 4.8l, plenty of vids on utube of Patrols beating Veyrons, Lambos etc.

Missed that about a standard VN V8 does 13's . Let see , Weight nominally 3200 lbs
Hp required = 270FWHP to do a 13.9 . Standard VN V8 165 FWKW to 185KW chipped up . So 165KW is 221HP and 185KW is 238HP. So your down about 50HP do crack a 13.9 . Now lets raise the weight to 4389LB , the weight of my somewhat Porky Statesman , its does the quarter at 13.82 ,101 MPH even with a ****weak 60ft of 2.1. that calculates out to 385 FWHP . Last rwkw dyno was 245RWKW . (4000RPM stally)

    Technical data
The GTHO's 351 Cleveland engine produced over 380 HP (285 kW)[2] which, back in 1971, was grossly underrated to 300 hp. Initial cars were equipped with an electrical rev limiter which came into effect at 6,150 rpm. With the rev limiter disabled, the engine was reputed to pull in excess of 7,000+ rpm, even in 4th gear. The "HO" portion of the name stood for "Handling Option", which meant these specials had bigger brakes, stiffer suspension, a front spoiler, a choice of 3 differentials and an optional close-ratio gearbox making the production GTHO very similar to the race version.Standing 1/4 mile14.4 seconds
    Accomplishment Result
    0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) 6.4 seconds
    0-100 mph (0-161 km/h) 14.6 seconds
    Standing 1/4 mile 14.4 seconds
Top Speed (with 6,150 rpm rev limiter) 144 mph (231 km/h)
Top Speed (without rev limiter) 155 mph (250 km/h

    I'd hope he's not...

Took around $4500 to get my VK Calais to high 12's... NA, no NOS...

    That was back in 1995...

Running 13's wasnt easy either.. Not low ones anyway...

No stock VN, or even VN with just mild tweaks can pull it off...
