    can anyone identify this?(found it in my sump)

    I was wondering if anyone might be able to identify this for me, today I was cleaning out my sump (as you do) and found this ...I think is the leaver off a lift pump but want to be sure.

    correct, the cam acutated lever off of a mech fuel pump.

    ok, thats ok then, I know I have replaced the lift pump once since I have owned the vehicle and the previous one was intact but leaky.. so obviously a problem from before I bought it.

    by the shape of that lift arm I would say a TDI, probabley 300
