    Michelin Latitude Tyres

    Hi all,

Has anyone tried the new Michelin Latitudes? I am looking for tyres for my Disco 2 and have been very happy with the original XPC's, no longer available.

The Disco is only used for dirt roads and highways, no serious off-road, the Defenders do that. For the Disco, I mainly look for super-quiet tyres.

    Any info gratefully received.

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Great Pat,

Thanks for the reply. Did you get the Latitude Cross or the Latitude Tour HP?

    Cheers,

    Paul

I have the Latitude Tour HP on my D1 16" alloy 'road rims' and find them excellent in both the wet and dry. Much better than the XPC. They were fantastic on the sand at Fraser Island too (couldn't get stuck ).

My D2a has the Latitude Cross on 18" factory rims. The Cross is also a great tyre. It's no nosier than the Tour. It has almost as much grip on the road as the Tour. The tread depth is surprisingly deep for the kind of hybrid tyre it is. It looks like it would handle 'mild' off-road use easily.

You won't go wrong with either.

Have the Latitude Tour HP on the 'town car' (Ford Escape) in 235/70R16, fantastic tyre. I drive it really hard and after 50+K still going strong.
