    I friend of mine in the UK has a 210,000 mile 2004 Defender 90. That's 335,000 km+

Nothing has been done to it other then regular servicing. It's still on it's orginal clutch (Though the spigot bush makes a hell of a noise in winter)

The vehicle has been looked after by a LR Specialist all it's life.

The real twist is that it has spent its whole life towing (Those who have been to the UK and see what sort of loads they put behind 90's will know what i mean)

In NSW when I looked at it last vehicles are only required to be regiested where the the public has access. Eg Counsil tips required councils to register (permit) there vehicles/equipment. Surf LS need their units permited. Permits are used for special use vehicles as opposed to full road use vehicles.

On a farm if the vehicle never leavs it doesnt need to be registered. However in theory if it crosses over a road for example it would need to be registered.

My 130 tdi trayback has been used everyday for six years, has over 200,000ks, repairs?, water pump, Pgasket, belt tensioner, belts a couple of wheel bearings, a few odd sods, but for the work its done and the reliability its given, for the price i paid, and what its worth now!!, i would not like to own anything else really.
