    HELP!? Newcastle

I am currently in the middle of changing my clutch on my 98 300Tdi 5sp. It has been an endless nightmare for months now with Mechanics failing to help on a few occaisions so i decided to takle it with some help from others on here. However now i have the Motor out, clutch kit in and the motor ready to be re installed. However after all this time i am daunted by the thought of remembering what parts go where.

I have had word from a mechanic that he MIGHT be able to help me next Wednesday... however i have heard mechanics say this for 4 months now... and have lost most faith. So if you are local and willing to give guidance to where things should be going i would be very appreciative!

    Cheers James.

or take photos and it can be done via AULRO stage by stage....

if you have a RAVE cd its easier and help interpreting the words is only ever a phone call away.

Yeap, that's exactly what has been happening... The first time i asked the particular mechanic to help he simply said he didn't want to deal with a Land Rover...there was no other reason when i asked him if i had a 80 series LC he said i would of had mechanics lining up

BUMP: Getting pretty desperate now i havn't had this car going in over 4 months and am incredibly over it! the motor is mated back up to the bell housing and just needs to be tightened up and put on the engine mounts then the task of plumbing is left...

If you are good with these things please call me! 0434622484, i know it seems like i should be able to do this and i probably can but after all this time i cant stand to look at the vehicle.

Yeah i did the rest of them up... but strangly have a stud/ two nuts left over... and i felt around the bell housing multiple times (im over here now) and cant seem to find their home. I tightened them up but probably not as tight as they could be.

I started on the engine mounts but am having difficulties in seeing how th driver side mount is supposed to go back in.

Poor bugger I'm a tad to far to help you but be happy to post some pics to help you through as have a 5spd 300 here now. They're not that bad to work with. Take a big breath, go out and sort the left over parts best you can.
May be take a few pics of the stage that's stumping you and between us we should sort it. Worst part is making a start
Next time you will take pics as you undo stuff and put it in labeled plastic bags right

Keep feeling around the bell housing, look in the manual you have count them up and see what ones are left, I remember those ones around the side of the bellhousing where a bugger to find.
