Thread: Rough start when cold.

i have got a simaler problem on cold mornings, i have to crank the hell out of it to get it to start, it will spudder and fart then about the 3rd time it will fire on 3 or so and then pick up with a huge clound of black smoke, a garage said that it was the head gasket for sure. is this possibul ? it runs so well when started and dosent use a drop of coolant. im not in a huge hurry to pull the head off.

do you know is there a test for the sensor ? i havent got a revs cd just a hard copy hays and dosent seem to say any thing about it. thanks for your tip.
