Crikey.
I hope the stuck bolt is not near the rear as I seem to recall there being not much room between the rear of the head and the firewall when you lift the head off the block. But I would have thought that a swift blow from a rubber mallet should get the head off the dowels. You may find that you need to patially raise the head so you can get some stellsons onto the bolt and try to remove it.
