Brake Problem
After our trip to the Cape I have returned with a bit of a brake issue.
When applying the brakes, everything seems OK, but if I relax the pedal and then go back on the brakes I have assistance for a short time and then they go rock hard.
The vacuum pump is still pulling a vacuum, but not sure how strong it should be?
What other issues could there be and how would I check, thinking maybe cracked booster? - plenty of corrugations in its life.

I would check the oneway check valve on the booster and the line to ensure its not stuffed or cracked. My vaccum pump seemed ok but i'm not sure what it should draw at. Had a similar problem and fixed it by installing a toyota diesel vaccum resevoir prior to the booster, works great and gives me descent brakes sttraight from start up.
