    can i use

    can i use any TD5 main ECU for my 2000 manual disco i have saved the setting from my last ecu before the topswitch faults started its now rooted if i get a 2003 td5 D2 auto ecu can i just use my nanocom to load my old setting on to the auto ecu
    will it work or should i get a ecu for a manual in this case i have to go for a new one $700

    There is a list somewhere in electronic diagnostics.
    Ive used it before,actually have a Defender flashable ecu in my D2.
    Will see if I can find it.

    2003MY ECU is flashable and and can work with the 2 or 3 pot throttle of the earlier D2's. You tell the ECU what gearbox etc.

    Sorry,cant find the Defender ECU thread.
    Will say, It will run with a Deefer ECU,but you need to fix cruise control/AC/Temp gauge/turbo modulator settings.Nanocom cant do this.You need Testbook OR Autologic to do so.
