    yes never a dull moment

anyway... THANKS JC!! we have fixed the idle problem.!
apparently alot of the update D2's suffer from this issue from time to time and some get cured by an ecu upgrade and some get worse!! mine,, read worse

solution/test, fit an MSB ecu, thanks redback (and kerry) for the loan.. installed the MSB and the engine is compleatly different, neat, smooth exactly how the TD5 should be. so we flashed an early NNN fuel map on to my NNN ecu from the nanocoms map wizard and perfect!
thank god thats one issue out of the way, at least now i just have the auto to deal with. the new stock map hasnt had any improvement in the shift quality of the auto...and its so underpowered...need new tuned mapagain..

    finally getting somewhere

    cheers phil

So whats the damage to the gasket??

Presuming its the valve body gasket?

Have only just had the pan off to clean it out and done a fluid change with Mobil synthetic trans fluid which seemed to solve a rough idle issue after about 400k's of driving.
I put it down to the fact that the oil was muddy brown and most likely was still the original fluid....

    Cheers

Have done a auto oil change on a car once that was that colour, went into the shop a weak and slow slush-box.
New oil and presto! the back of the car would squat in reverse and lift in drive.

Presuming its the valve body gasket? correct, it fails which intrun drops the supply pressure to the clutch packs.

    Cheers

Having been on this forum for quite a while I do believe we need a slush fund set up to give JC a bottle or two of the finest single malt for his help on this site. Pat

    Will an AC condensor fit?

How about one of your old intercoolers?

All else fails, i have a p38 oil cooler for ya, they're pretty big.
