    Federal couragia MT

...they look pretty good for their price (under $200 for 33/12.5's)
Anyone had them or know much about their performance/wear? :-k

I understand that there are only 3 more available aus wide (and no more planned to come in), other than the 4 I am looking at, hence the cheap price, but worth considering

A few guys in our club run them, and they seem very good. No bad comments really I have heard apart from possibly being not quite so good on wet rock.

No really a mud tyre but I was lured in by the cheap price of the federals aswell. I picked up a set of 4 low profile 17in tyres for my commodore for $95 bucks each. have decided to repsray the car so havent had them on the road yet but they seem like a quality tyre.

You will never really know unless you buy them. i was running a set os retread 31in muddies when i got the disco and they were great tyres for the money i paid for them. Cheap doesnt always mean bad.

Strange. You are one of the very few people that I have heard have anything bad to say about the X terrains, apart from the guys that bought them and tried to compare their performance with Simex etc.

Got them on the defender in 285's love'em every trip ive been on they have surprised me and they are also the daily drive tyres when the missus drives it during the week.

They also prform well on sand, we had them now for 20k and I rotate them with the spare every 5k when I service the car and are wearing well.

I had bighorns on my old 75 series in 33's before purchasing the defender and would have to say they perform much better.

Beno from fourby fabrications is a wholesaler...when I called him about getting 2 to replace 2 shagged ones, he virtually refused to sell them to me, due to the amount of bad feedback and returns he was getting....everyone hears different feedback I guess

Yeah, that is strange.I was thinking of running them as my everyday tyre,as the Creepys are too expensive to just wear out on the bitumen.Possibly a state thing?Victoria seems to be a Simex dominated area,QLD seems to be a Maxxis area, and here in NSW is a bit like licorice allsorts.

I looked at the Couragia at the 4wd expo here in Sydney, and they looked quite good, but they don't come in 35"
They are sold by the Mickey Thompson agents, and they were saying how well the were selling, and that they were going to bring more in,so am surprised when you said that they weren't going to bring any more in.
