Humbrol #23.
Available at all good hobby shops, approximately $3.45 per tin
(in 14ml tinlets)
How much for 14ml of thinners to go with that?
$246.45/litre
Here is the colour:
I was lucky, the bloke who rebuilt the motor had some laying around at the time.
Thankyou,
I knew someone would be able to throw some light on the problem.
Two days ago I had a motor that looked like that one...but now its been in an acid bath to clean the water jackets etc out, hence the need for paint.
Cheers, Mick.![]()
I repainted mine a Holden colour, Marina Blue, which is very close to the original. Of course, these days I'd go looking for Duck Egg Blue.
P.S. Series Three - that is a lovely engine. How often do you clean it??
wait, they have paint...
I always thought it was oil leak black with road dust brown/red depending on location.
