I have just changed my driving lights from a Spread/Spot Combo to a Spread x 2 only. The reason why I have done this is that the spot always has a little fog on the lens and although it 'burnt off' eventually, it just peeved me that it looked unclean and therefore not efficient.

Now I have 55w HID inserts in Cibie Oscars and figured that this is enough power that I didn't require a spot lens.

This thread has been pulled out of Wardy's question....

This is my position and hence the change. Has anyone know of any tests of lights that prove this theory with an HID upgrade or how many others are now running a Spread x 2?
