i have a land rover hybrid with rangie brakes. i go through a set of 4 pads within the equivalent of a weekend of solid driving.. the setup i have is a defender booster and master. the rear on the master pipe is hooked straight to the rear brakes.
the two front ones are hooked up to the front bottom outlet on the master and the top one is blocked. the front pipes go straight to each side and just befroe they meet the flexipipes they are split off into a t-piece on each side.
it has solid rotors.
the thing i need help with is that i am going through pads to quick and need to remidy it. any help/ideas why???
i will try to load photos

Hybrid all right... Whats in that? A 253 or 308 blue WB or Dunnydore motor.
I cant see why its digesting calipers as run a similar set up here. Maybe the dirt, mud ,water etc.
it has a 235 dunnydore motor with a 5spd nissan box with a series landrover transfer case.
with a shortend rangie chassis with alot of welding and i was sick of the 3:54 ratio so i put in the 4:7
could try cermic pads![]()
what would ceramic pads be worth??
Are the brakes dragging all the time and getting hot? If they are, the plunger in the master cylinder could be sticking?
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
Adrian, you could try the diffs out of my 93 RR, the ones i'm dropping of on sunday if i get chance. Brakes should be good![]()
Are the calipers sticking?
How much mud are you going through?
What brake pads are you using?
What drums/discs are you using?
the callipers dont seem to be sticking.
when its runnig i would say a fair bit.
