Looking at various options for coils and shocks right now and have known that Terrafirma have a bit of buzz going in the U.K right now. I came across a thread that stated that Terrafirma shocks are re-badged OME and their springs are re-badged Dobinsons. Can anybody confirm or deny any of this?
I am also curious to hear opinions of Terrafirma suspension products, anybody running any of it on their trucks?

Why would you bother buying rebadged gear??
Kings Springs are good and actually make a fair proportion of springs available in many brands. Also if you get them from Coventrys or even Repco you can get them cheap.
With the Aussie dollar I would be going Bilstein shocks or Koni shocks out of the US.

Craig ... Read my post again ...
1 - I didn't say I was buying anything yet ... I am asking questions so I can make a determination.
2 - If I can buy Aussie I will ...
3 - I didn't state that I know Terrafirma were re-badged, I have read others saying they are. I was asking members here to confirm or deny it.
I've been doing a lot more research since posting this and I will likely be going with a lighter King coil spring in the rear of my truck, which is a King HD from a 130. I have a tray back County, so leaving the front spring alone and concentrate on putting $'s behind a good shock as suggested.

If you do a bit more searching, there are plenty of posts around, especially from the company that sell and distribute in the UK,as they had them made. They are not made here, they are made in the UK and the shocks are not rebadged OME.

If interested in new shocks, I just had delivered from Paddocks in the UK a set of Koni 2 inch extended shocks for my Disco series 1, may be worth a look while our exchange is good??
If looking at coils (which I am at the moment as well), I'd find it hard to go past locally (Aussie) produced Dobinsons for value for money and quality.
Just my opinion

Have Just fitted New Terrafirma shocks 50mm over standard and a set of King medium springs on the front and King standard weight springs on the rear of out 110 and WOW. what a ride. It drives straight and feels great. The ride is softish and the flex is good.
One happy Landy owner. The medium fronts were for the winch and steel bar.
Wayne,
Thanks, I have been using search judiciously before asking questions but found nothing of which you describe from my results. The people who were talking about Terrafirma were and are in fact English, so I assumed they might know better.
The details about OME and Dobinsons is pretty specific, if it were not true I wonder why and how those conclusions were drawn without some grain of fact in there somewhere. In any case ... how do Aussies feel about Terrafirma is my main question?
Cheers, Simon,
G'day mate ... can you share with me what the Koni's set you back? I was almost thinking of going with the Tough Dog adjustable foam cells ... but if the price were right the Koni's would be most welcome. Would I have to alter the shock mounts to fit them however? As to Dobinsons ... I was initially planning on getting some from Sus Stuff but read from some that they can sag rather quickly whereas as King Springs are reported to use very high quality spec steel ... this has left room for doubt re Dobinsons.
Simon.
