    Installing IIA windsreen

    Hello All,

Can anyone please tell me what the best way to install new split windscreens is? I have the old ones out and the bloke at repco has sold me some sikaflex-255. It says it's a direct glazing adhesive, but I'm worried I might not ever get them out again, if one cracks. I have used other sikaflex products before and I know they work well, but am I actually trying to 'stick' the windscreen in place or just provide a rubbery buffer between window frame and the pieces that hold it in place?

Any help will be much apprciated.

    regards,

    tim.

the sikaflex is only to seal the glass.

I normally apply it to the frame then insert the glass then the anchoring plates.

ITs a real piece of cake if you unbolt the windshield frame from the roof and lay it down on the bonnet first.
