    Diana,

    Would the check straps that are fitted to army 109s with their lifted suspension be suitable - I guess you would know better than me where to source them though.

    The Place in Blackburn sell them quite cheaply they are only made from some sort of Conveyor Belt type material.
    I too have destroyed a number of Genuine shocks by not having straps this can get expensive.
    Oh they sell 2 lengths one for Military and one for standard I always buy Military and cut them down

    I made some from some fire hose folded in half and glued with contact adhesive then sewed so in essence was 4 layers or rubberised canvas/hessian/whatever they make firehose from. Got it from the local firies.

    Unfortunately I need some that are 70mm longer than military ones, as the standard military suspension is the same height as the SIIa and SIIb f/c (for the same 9.00 16 reason)!

    You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
