Just some information to helps others because its the very thing I've been looking for a while and couldn't find a defintive answer;

I've just replaced my Cooper H/T tyres of stock standard size 235 70 16 and gone for the Yokohoma Gealondar A/T-S 255 70 16 and can vouch that these are the absolute maximum tyre size I can fit onto my Disco which has a 2" lift. At extreme lock they do touch VERY slightly. This isn't of any concern to me as its only when the steering is at extreme lock when you hold the steering wheel hard against its max turning stop.

My current running heights measured from level ground through centre of wheel to bodywork arch are as follows (unloaded car);

Front left; before: 821mm after: 845mm
Front right; before: 828mm after: 851mm
Back left; before: 850mm after 872mm
Back right: before 850mm after 874mm
