Looks pretty good, what is the build & plated date?,as it doesn't look like a "classic'.Plated date is on the drivers side under the brake master cylinder & build date is on radiator support panel left side of vehicle.
Looks like it has 16" rims not 18's,which is better in the rough, tyres also last longer & are cheaper.
Underside hasnt been painted, the car has just rarely been driven. It was setup to do a trip to the NT and has electric brakes fitted for a van, but the owner has fallen seriously ill and his wife (75) is selling it. They never did the trip that they planned to do. The whole underbody of the car is as clean as the photos, it hasnt been repainted its just CLEAN! They have only done 60,000km since 2006 and are second owners of it. Its been garaged and started and run around the block weekly by their next door neighbour, but hasnt had anyone use it as daily driver for well over 6 months.
Yeah, I have commited to buy it. Get it in two weeks. They mentioned that the Battery has gone flat due to not being driven and the keyless entry has to be reprogrammed? $700 or something. Any ideas if thats what happens? They are fixing it prior to sale though.
Well there you go.....perhaps another side line for your business, not that I know how many rams fail (or the seals at least).
The guy who dealt with it used to be a mechanic for the Land Rover dealer here when they operated and I've known him for a few years.... straight sort of guy I think and I've dealt with him for a while. And he did discuss the fact that he was trying to locate a seal kit to see if that would fix things. I didn't see the internals of the old ram so don't know exactly what the issue was..suffice to say there was a lot of fluid sprayed all over the underside and encroaching on the back door.
