we can easily see why its not worth the trouble fitting thermo fans, from leyland.
What he said ^
Imagine getting that heater going on a cold day. The choke on a petrol car would never come off on cold days.

Whys that Leyland ?, this particular method of fitting 2 seperate thermo fans of different sizes that barely cover 2/3 rds of the finned area wouldnt work as well as a good viscous and shroud does , agreed ! However the properly shrouded setup of the AU-EB Foulcan twin thermos does work well even in our plus 40C-50C temps .(Marble Bar specials)
Good to see that you have the electrics sorted but by the look of the pics you posted it seems like the fans are held on by zip ties and maybe some of those through the radiator fin plugs. If this is right then maybe consider making up some solid mounts for the fans. The plugs will fail on corrugations and make a mess of your radiator. Cheers Nick
What size are the Falcon fans? Why wouldnt a 14 inch and 12 inch fan work well enough? Agreed its not the best shroud i have on therebut its all i could come up with in a short period of time. These fans pull quite a bit of air.Do you know how much the Falcon fans pull compared to these Spal fans?
You can get a 2nd hand pair of genuine ford fans from the wreckers for under $100, new after market fans for around $200-250 and new genuine I think comes in at a bit over $400.
Not sure on size of fans but a well shrouded thermo performs far better than non-shrouded, although as far as after-market fans go, the SPAL's are right up and 100000x better than the D___ C____ fans.

Has been going sweet for nearly 2 1/2 years now.
The problem is your fans are fitted direct to the radiator and will only pull air over the core directly where they are mounted regardless of what shroud you use and having two different sizes forms an imbalance of air flow as both fans draw at different volumes.
The fans need to be pulled back off the core and mounted in a custom shroud. What you have there will do absolutely nothing.
As for the wiring, putting the switches there will do two things,
1 - always have a bad earth without a strap of some kind.
2- corrode out around the threads as it's exhaust pipe.
Also as has been said, the off temp is too low. You need to be cutting out at 85 with an 82 thermostat or 90 with an 88 thermostat.
Looking at what you have I would say it's not shutting off as it's not cooling enough purely due to the install.
I will send you pics of mine. If you do a search on my posts from some time ago, I have a full fit up of how mine was done using the existing condenser fan wiring.

Basically this set up hasnt cost me much.I have a cousin who works for an automotive parts distributorAnd i basically got those fans for around $130 for both.I think i might just go with the Ford set up since all ive heard is good stuff about it.I'll just use these on my Turbo Rover SD1 club car
. When ever i decide to work on it.
Thanks for all the input guys.Always learning new things on here.

You won't need to do anything other than get a late 3.9 thermo housing with a 22mm switch port and make a shroud like I did on mine. It's all just doing it correctly. I didn't even need to pull my radiator, just used the original shroud as a template and it fits back in the same as the original.
Give me till the weekend and I'll pop it out and take pics. Only takes 5 minutes to get it out.
