As Baz said, 4.11:1 diff ratios will undergear the car, fitting 33's will make it a bit better, you can fit them without trimming the guards, but you will need to fit sliders as the plastic sills will scrub.
You can fit 3.9:1 diff ratios, this brings 32in tyres back to standard gearing.
OR
Fit a defender transfer case.
Have a look at the ratio calculator on the Ashcrofts website, its really handy.

if doing a ratio change, definitly look at the ashcrfot new r+p's...look very strong. places I would ring and get prices:
