I used Quik Steel on my S3 ones after reading about a chap who used araldite with outstanding success.
You need to fill it with something, to stop water forcing its way past the grease,
Cheers Charlie

I'll see which way the owner wants to go with this.
He never goes off road anyway, just talks about doing it a lot.

Scott, Devcon make some excellent 2 pack products.
I repaired a porous alumimium head on our old forklift we have here about a year ago - still works a treat. Saved me getting a replacement engine as the heads for this no longer exist and the head guy advised it couldn't be repaired.
Easy to work with as well.
Blackwoods stock these products for a reasonable price.

I used to use Devcon for target rifle stock bedding. Never had any problems with cracking under the shock created. It'd be the first product I'd try.
Cheers,
Daryl.
Thanks Erich & Daryl - I might give that a go while it's all apart.

Just give me a yell when it's done and I'll come get it.![]()
Also, good idea to clean the area up with a die grinder first, to get rid of any rust etc and help the product bond well.
