RRC tyre & offset combo with 2" lift?

    Hi folks,
What is the largest tyre I can fit on a 16" rim on a RRC with a 2" lift, without cutting the guards?

Also, what offset will I need?

A few tyre places I've spoken too already keep trying to flog me 33's but i'm unsure if they'd actually fit.

Any help and advice grately appreciated.

    245/70 16 will fit. 245/75 16 might need a guard trim. 235/85 16 will rub.

Not sure about 16" but I have 31x10.5x15 on 15x8 rims with -25 offset and they still rub on the front wings with a 2" spring lift. Not always but usually while turning out of driveways, etc.
    Cheers,

Thanks for the info Stu, do they catch at the back with that -25 offset?

It's been a while since I've driven it and it's happened but, yes, I think it's a the bottom of the wing at the back. I just hear a grating and then it's over. I've done no damage so far but I'm not sure how things would track if I was offroad with a lot more movement.

Just put 245/75 16's on my RRC. It has standard springs at the moment, and it looks like I may just have a few clearance issues, but I will find out for sure next weekend at the Greendale gathering. I am planning to instal a set of 2" springs in the near future, and I think this should do the trick. They do fill out the guards well, and look great though...

I'll post the results of some medium off roading after next weekend.

    Cheers - Gav
