    currumbin trimming can fix it
not expensive, and done in a day.

give them a ring, tell them harry sent you,
and all that will be no use to you if you aren't near here.

so post your location in your details so someone in your area can assist you.

come up here and call drew, he's good.

Dave, were did you get the quote foe $150 bucks? I'd jump at that, it would even be worth a few hours drive for that.

It was a motor trimmer in Shepparton. If you want next time I am in Shepp I can go and double check that price if you want,

To those who have removed the head linings themselves

How did you remove the plastic covers on the up right pillars? They feel as though they are about to break. Which way do I need to 'pull' them for the clips to let go without breaking?

I've been trying to source a near factory replacement to the original and based on posts to various forums I think I've got reasonably close to an answer.

Allegedly a fabric colour called 2144 Shale is a very close match to the original fabric, and is available in a 1/8" foam backing and 64" (150cm-ish) width which allows the D2 headlining to be covered without joins. This runs to about $30-35 per metre with approximately 2.5-2.75M is required to do the D2 hood lining. I have a swatch of a slightly darker fabric (2075XW Light Graphite) which I'll compare with the factory fabric on the weekend.

If you can be bothered DIY'ing it should cost you under $100 to replace with reasonably original looking head-lining.

SCTextiles distributes this fabric in Australia but has a minimum order of 10m. Judging by a quote I got it's cheaper buying from a trimmer that has stock of the fabric than buying direct.

    cheers
    Paul
