    brains needed please

    hi all

    i'm have this on going problem with my 130 TD5

    It's down on power and useing heaps of fuel
    it really struggles to go up hills even smallish inclines,which normally wouldn't even bother it.........

    blowing heaps of smoke under load lust no pull in the old girl at all

    just need some advice on what to look for and what it could possibly be

    start out with a collapsing intercooler hose or an intercooler hose blown off.

    i've replaced them with the silicone hoses
    EGR has been removed also

    Air filter blocked, collapsing turbo intake hose under vacuum, dud airflow meter maybe even oil in harness...

    Does sound like an air supply problem though, not air delivery.

    I wouldn't bother if they are silicone hoses, you'd be pretty unlucky to delaminated one as they are rolled like a Danish pastry from one sheet.

    Got a boost gauge fitted??

    no boost gauge.....

    but i think the Nanocom can read the boost

    could still be the hose blown off, it wouldnt be the first time Ive seen a silicone hose blown off at the intercooler on the outlet side....

    either that or the wastegate is possibly siezed open.
