Ipod Connection to a Eurovox 5880R Unit

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have a LR Disco series 2 2002. I want to connect an IPOD to my Eurovox Model 5880R CD single disc unit but have no idea on how or if this is possible. Does any one have an idea if this is possible and ?
how I would do this?
Thank you

					Rosieposie,
I had a win with my Eurovox radio cassette player so decided to contributed to this threat here http://www.aulro.com/afvb/communicat...ml#post1321476
Not sure if it helps but I suspect it will. Go Technologies (they do Eurovox stuff) will post you a cable with a standard 3.5mm audio socket (I call it a headphone socket...). I suggest you call them to check if they can help with your model.

Since then I have added new speakers approx $400 (maybe I did that first??), a Parrot CK3000 bluetooth hands free kit $180 and a $25 cable that plugs into my iPhone4 socket then splits into two to plug into the Go Tech cable and my cigarette lighter. I now have my iPhone 4 blasting tunes through to my factory stereo whilst charging from my cigarette lighter. I'm living the handsfree phoning dream too!!!
I plan to hard wire the charger (additional cig lighter) into the 12v behind the dash/console and hide the wires. It'll look perfect I reckon. I'll get that done once I recover from my engine rebuild, alternator overhaul, ignition switch rebuild, battery replacement and $660 service......!!
I wonder if I'll make it to Canberra next week. Gotta love the Land Rover ride..... At least I'll be able to call for help if I don't!
Regards,
Milney

Is that the stock radio? Either way, you need to get behind it and look for a line-in connection. Once you know what the port is/looks like, you need to get a cable with that on one end and a 3.5mm connector on the other which will plug into your ipod. I put mine in about a week ago. They're worth the trouble and are dirt cheap if you can do it yourself, mine was $12 off ebay!

Yeah, stock eurovox radio. The only "spare input" is the CD changer socket. Go Tech have adapted a 3.5 cable for same.

I phoned them and spoke to a consultant. They checked and rang me back, it appears that the 5880rd unit is the only one that you cannot modify. You can add a 10 CD stacker to the unit but nothing else.
