This might solve some of the myths about weight distribution hitches (WDH) on a D3 with air suspension. I found this in a caravan magazine recently.
In the table below the top section is a conventionally sprung Landcruiser with the bottom section being an air suspension D3. As can be seen a WDH on the D3 is a waste of time.
This might explain why LR say not to use one. It is a pity they did not do this on a D2 with SLRS(Springs front, bags rear)

To me that says that the D3 tested is only using it's self levelling and not a WDH, It clearly says WDH for the Cruiser, or am I reading it wrong
