    12 VOLT SWITCH WIRING DIAGRAM

    HI
I PURCHASED A COUPLE OF 12 VOLT INLINE ROCKER SWITCHES AND WAS WONDERING IF SOMEONE COULD EXPLAIN HOW TO WIRE THEM UP.

    You are kidding right?
You cut the (usually +) wire, you put one end on one terminal and the other end on the other terminal.
If it has a light , a wire is run to the light terminal from the instrument lights and another to earth.
You usually switch the positive wire, as on most things there is no negative.

They will normally have a simple line diagram on the switch. The types with an indicator light built in can sometimes be confusing. Swapping the plugs around will normally allow you to work them out. Get a quantity of crimp on lugs, and fit them to the wires you are working with. Red for positive current, blue for the others. Make sure there is a fuse in the circuit, that way while you are messing around getting your circuit and switch working the way you want it, nothing will get fried.
