Disabling Defender immobiliser With Nanocom. and genral immoblizer help

    Hi all,

My Dog though it would be idea to chew my Defender Key and remote,

The defender was locked with the remote when i last used it. So the red light in the speedo is on, which i guess is the immobiliser.

Also when i put the key in (no remote) and turn the key to position II there is a red light the shape of engine with a lighting bolt through it, on the dash.

So I have a nano com and i had a look around the alarm section with no luck, ( probably changed all the settings while i was at it)

I believe there is a way of Disabling Defender immobiliser With Nanocom is this true? and how is it done?

    Thanks Regards Ben...

A slightly different cause but both outcomes seem to have ended up needing the immobiliser to be disabled.

Read posts 255 to 260 in the group buy thread http://www.aulro.com/afvb/electronic...n-news-26.html

That plus the attached spreadsheet should give you an idea of where to reset your immobiliser.

Let us know how you go - the results may be useful in compiling a future Nanocom Operations Manual or maybe just a section in 'The Good Oil' regarding Nanocom use.

    Alarm beeping when locking

I had the problem with alarm beeping when I tried to lock the car. Turned out all it was one of the screws holding the wire to the door had threaded out and wasn't connecting properly. So just replaced with bigger gauge screw and the neighbours were happy again.
