    300tdi ecu

    If I was to import a 300tdi with ecu would it be possible to remove all the electrical bits and replace them with standard injectors fuel pump (anything else)?

    IIRC the 300tdi doesn't have an ECU...

    Yes the EDC (electronic Diesel Control) 300Tdi is essentially the same engine in all other aspects. just fit a non EDC injector pump, injectors AND injector lines. The lines are different orientation.

    If you bring in the whole vehicle, You will have NO throttle cable so you will need to source local bits etc to add one. ALSO, if it is an auto you will need to change the trans as they have a full electronic 4HP22E.

    thanks for that looking at just the engine to deplace my cooked std engine so will be able to just turf the electrical bits and swap the old steam driven bits back in its place. A mate of mine is going to send one over from the uk for fraction of the price of anything sourced locally.
