    Window tint glue removal

I have cleared a window of damaged tint film. The tint place has said to use acetone to remove the remaining residue.

    It won't shift it!

    Any other suggestions?

    BiG Kev's Goo Remover.
I still have a bottle from way back when.
But a citrus glue remover should do it , based on my removing the remaining glue from dealer stickers. It doesn't so much remove it as thin it out , and you have to do it several times.

    Remove Tint Glue

Okay all you need is Windex or any other Amonia based window cleaning product.
In the shade spray it onto the glue don't be shy saturate it, then leave it for a few minutes.
Use a razor blade to scrape the glue which will now be "gunk" (it will join together in clumps).
Finish cleaning the window with Windex and clean rag.

Windex and a new razor blade. If you use an old blade you will scratch the glass.
Don't use a razor blade on demister bars or antenna in the glass. Obviously.

Spray as mentioned above with windex, cover in cling wrap then leave in the sun.

When "hot" but still wet remove cling wrap and wipe away the glue with clean clothes. Repeat if necessary. Don't be shy with the windex and heat!

I just use cloudy ammonia and a scotchbrite pad. Then clean up with glass cleaner.

Go VERY easy with the scotchbrite, it can scratch windscreen glass easily, though side windows *should* be stronger due to being toughened glass...

I"ve had good success with Acetone, after doing all that I can with a new single - edge razor.

A lot depends on the particular brand of window film, so try everything !
