providing no-one else made a full pull you could win it with 1HP if you had enough weight and traction.
The only tractor pull I've ever watched, an old guy in a tiny crawler tractor pulled the sled all the way to the end. At 1 km/h.

should have seen the kefuffle that was created when a guy with a lanz won his modified division. His mods from memory were beadlockers to keep the rubber on his rims and water fill to get his weight up to right next to the limit for his class.

How about an internet race? Post up your dynolicious printouts. Stock TD5 90 is supposed to be just under 18 seconds according to these guys:
Car: Land Rover Defender 90 2.5 TD5 Country
Hows 18.04 secs. for a 300Tdi 130 with 33" muddies and taring somewhere between 2660 (what I thought it weighed at the time) and 2920kg (what it came to a few weeks back over the quarry weighbridge)
lets put an END to the MYTH!

Oh, and stock turbo, stock I/C and a few simple tweaks on the induction, fuel delivery and exhaust.

Now what could I do with an Isuzu

I wouldn't put my Isuzu against a well worked TD5 for slips on the road, longevity and with 3.5T and the back, yea, I'd back it with the papers

Well theres a few people running mod'd TD5's and Isuzu's but is there anyone running mod'd Puma's? i would really like to see what can be done with one as i am in the market for a 130 puma and i really dont like there lack of balls.

Maybe i should enter my LS1 rover into this "internet race" after a few quick spins up and down the lane i know its quick, and i have just flashed a new tune to it to suit the cam so it should be alot happier now....
Not without a decent drivetrain upgrade I hope...

well i get the message that the hilux is a bad talking point haha dont blame you's i am asuming that the td5 will have more acceleration but from what i have seen from my turboed isuzu put a set of 33' or bigger like some people have and throw a hill at it the isuzu "loves life" hills/loads just do not phase them and i wouldnt say mine is anywhere near as good as others getting around on this site but not having driven a td5 apart from a stock as a rock work ute that has been flogged i cannot say to much about them but if they are anything like my puma they would lack bottom end and need to be flogged to get any performance at all one thing i do not like about any new diesel is the feel of the power delivery due to the electronics it just feels like $&#@ compared to tdi's and isuzu's
